The LSAT, Your Way

Most test takers can choose where they want to take the LSAT: either in an online, live remote-proctored environment, or in person, at a digital testing center. You’ll be able to list your preferences when you register for the LSAT and schedule your test in whichever format you prefer, or if you have approved testing accommodations, is available to you.

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, LSAC began offering the LSAT to test takers at home. As LSAC moved to return to in-person testing in August 2023, LSAT takers expressed their preference to keep the online, live, remote-proctored environment as an option.

If you choose this option, you can take the LSAT at home in a quiet, private room and on your own computer.

For those who prefer to take the LSAT in person, LSAC partners with Prometric to offer the test at hundreds of digital test centers in all 50 U.S. states and abroad.

If you choose this option, all equipment will be provided at the test center, and you’ll be able to choose a center that’s most convenient for you.
